Edgewood is a small town spread over steep hills and winding roads. It is situated between Puyallup, Milton, and Federal Way. The population is about 10,000 and there are nearly 4,000 homes. Because the town is so close to 3 major cities, Edgewood shares 3 different school districts: Puyallup, Fife, and Sumner. So, no matter where you live in Edgewood, you will have access to many more schools than normal!
Edgemont Park
This beautifully wooded 5-acre park has off-street parking, a tot lot and playground, baseball diamond that doubles as a soccer field, a basketball court, picnic shelter (available to rent) drinking fountain and restrooms. Home to the City's annual Edgewood Community Picnic the third Saturday every July. Open dusk until dawn every day.
Milton Restaurants
The cities of Edgewood and Milton are both very small and the only thing separating them from each other is one road. So, across the street from said road, technically in Milton, is a strip mall with 10 restaurants! One very popular place to eat, The Mill Restaurant & Sports Bar, is a local hotspot that serves great happy hour food and drinks and is open late into the night.
Nelson Nature Park
This small park is nestled in the peaceful wetlands of Edgewood and is home to a variety of plant life and animal species. There are over 50 different bird species that come and go from this gorgeous park throughout every season of the year. The 1/2-mile-long paved trails wind around tall trees and is perfect for a pleasant stroll in the park. There are benches along the trail, a covered picnic area, a kiosk, and a bike rack.
Pacific Slot Car Raceways
This miniature raceway has two 8-lane racetracks and a 1/4 mile drag strip for toy cars. This raceway offers programs for all ages and skill levels, whether you are a seasoned slot car racer, a beginner who wants to rent a car to try it out, or just talk with other car enthusiasts! Pacific Slot Car Raceways sells stock and custom race cars and is available to host parties for any occasion.
