Located just 9 miles north of downtown Seattle is Shoreline, the 20th largest city in the state of Washington with over 56,000 people and 22,000 households. Most people will say that one of the best and most apparent qualities of this city is the location, with the Puget Sound bordering the west side of the city and Lake Washington lining the east.
Shoreline is divided into 14 different neighborhoods, each with a name and neighborhood association tied to it. There are a total of 25 parks throughout the city which hold a total of 330 acres of park land. The Shoreline School District has 2 high schools, 2 middle schools, and 9 elementary schools. There are also 2 private schools and 1 community college.
